The turtles were future traders or what is called then commodities traders. The markets should have the following creteria:
Large Markets
As they traded million of dollars, the market should be big enough to accommodate there bids without being affected by them.
Liquid Markets
They traded only the most liquid markets and the liquidity of the market was the primary criterion used to determne which markets to trade.
